Musical improv Workshop
The Showstopper group is an Improvised Musical group with 11 sell-out years at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, 2 West End runs, an Olivier award and 1 BBC Radio 4 series.
Step by step, they teach the basis and structure of musical improv with these 2 independent workshops.

Level B1 (intermediates)
No singing experience required.
Friday Workshop
Date: Friday 16th of Oct. 2026

Topic: Build an improvised song.
This improvisation-based workshop guides participants through building a song step by step, from initial ideas to a complete piece, with a chorus and verse.
Weekend Workshop

Sunday 18th of Oct. 2026: 09:00 - 16:00
Topic: Build an improvised Musical.
We explores how a musical piece is built step by step, from simple ideas to a cohesive composition. Participants collaboratively shape melody, rhythm, harmony, and structure in real time.
The workshop is followed by a showcase where family and friends can see the result of the weekend.

Susan
Susan is an award winning Character Comedian, Actress and Improviser.
She was a series regular in BAFTA winning CBBC sketch show Class Dismissed and also a series regular in the CBBC spoof news show DNN.
Duncan
Duncan Walsh Atkins has been musical director of The Showstoppers since 2009. His other impro credits include the BBC TV series Fast and Loose and appearances with Mike McShane and Paul Merton.
